The blood disease clinic includes acute or chronic leukemia that occurs in the blood, myeloproliferative diseases such as polycythemia vera, aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, various lymphomas that occur in lymph nodes such as the neck and armpits, and multiple lesions that occur in the bones. It was established to provide accurate and rapid diagnosis and systematic treatment for myeloma, etc. To this end, experienced specialists from various fields, including hematology-oncology, laboratory medicine, pathology, and radiation oncology, participate to provide prompt diagnosis and the best treatment direction for patients with blood cancer.


Disease introduction


Blood cancers such as leukemia, which were synonymous with incurability in the past, are no longer incurable. According to various scientific and genetic discoveries on blood cancer, Glivec for chronic leukemia, rituximab for lymphoma, Velcade and thalidomide for multiple myeloma, and Vidaza for myelodysplastic syndrome. Diagnosis and Treatment


Blood cancer is a diverse disease, and a variety of diagnostic methods are used. This ranges from basic blood tests to bone marrow tests, if necessary, and even surgical biopsies for diagnosis of lymphoma. Additionally, imaging tests such as CT and PET-CT are used to determine the degree of disease progression and stage. Recently, in the case of blood cancer, chromosome testing and various genetic mutation tests are being used to predict prognosis and determine treatment.
