There are a total of 14 operating rooms, and each room is equipped with an anesthesia machine and a respirator. Patient monitoring devices such as capnography, electrocardiogram, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation are also installed in each room to safely monitor the patient's condition until the end of the surgery. The anesthesia machines and patient monitoring devices that our hospital possesses are the most advanced in Korea, and they create a comfortable surgical environment through safer patient monitoring, thereby guaranteeing a perfect surgery.
Our anesthesia department provides all types of anesthesia, including general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia.
To prevent mishaps, all anesthesia equipment is always checked. One or more medical staff are present for all patients receiving anesthesia to ensure immediate response and quick problem-solving for any issues that may arise during the anesthesia.
Postoperative analgesia is available to the patient if the patient wishes. When the fear of pain after surgery is relieved, the patient can experience psychological and physical comfort. Early recovery is possible if the pain decreases and movement improves after surgery.
The hospital operates a bloodless medicine and surgery center, and the anesthesiology department plays a central role in transfusion-free surgery. Various methods, such as a red blood cell salvaging devides, acute normovolemic hemodilution, and preoperative autologous blood preservation, are used.
In addition, the anesthesiology department provides various levels of sedation outside the operating room, such as MRI and vascular imaging room, to facilitate the patient's comfort during examinations and procedures."
