Division of Infectious Desease
The infectious disease department treats diseases caused by microorganisms like germs, mycete, viruses, parasites and the like. It deals with a range of infectious diseases occurring in various organs including bladder inflammation, nephropyelitis, meningitis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, skin and soft tissue infection, and more, treating opportunistic infections in patients with deficient immunity, such as fevers of unknown origin (FUO), sepsis, AIDS, and other such ailments. In addition it offers a travel medicine program to prevent and cure diseases caused by travel abroad and all necessary adult vaccinations for influenza, pneumococcus, tetanus, hepatitis A, HPV (human papilloma virus, uterine cervical cancer), and more.
